Steven D. Kanovitz, L.Ac.

Steve is a California board licensed acupuncturist and herbalist, and a  nationally certified diplomat of acupuncture.  He earned his B.S. degree in Kinesiology from San Francisco State University and his Master’s degree from Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica. 

With nearly ten years of clinical experience, Steve has witnessed the efficacy of consistent and regular treatments for numerous conditions and feels that the community acupuncture model is an effective way to provide such services.  Steve believes the path to restoring and maintaining health doesn’t need to be expensive to be effective.

Matt Pesendian, L.Ac.

Matt is an acupuncturist, herbalist, and teacher of medical qigong and hatha yoga. He received a B.A. degree at U.C. Santa Cruz, a Master’s degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine at Emperor’s College of Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica and is a California and Nationally board licensed acupuncturist.

In 2005 he developed a Medical Qigong program at the Cancer Center of Santa Barbara, which he still operates.  Matt continues to present his findings on energetic anatomy and the art of yoga in workshops and retreats worldwide. To learn more about Matt please visit: www.bodhimanda.com.

Sun Cho, L.Ac.

Sun is a licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist in the state of California and is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).  Sun completed her Master’s in Traditional Oriental Medicine at Samra University of Oriental Medicine in Los Angeles.  Her journey as an acupuncturist began when her uncle taught her Korean Hand Acupuncture as a teenager.

She studied Traditional Chinese Medicine abroad and trained in several different hospitals in Beijing, China.  She has studied Korean Hand Acupuncture, 4-needle technique, and Master Tung’s Acupuncture.

Sun is dedicated to providing affordable acupuncture to everyone.Prior to becoming an acupuncturist, Sun worked as a Paper Engineer and Graphic Designer.  She graduated from Delaware College of Art and Design with a degree in Graphic Design.

Maria Andino, L.Ac.

Maria is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist, trained at Yo San University in Los Angeles, California, one of the nation's leading Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) graduate schools. She received her Master's degree after completing over 4,000 hours of instruction lead by Drs. Daoshing and Maoshing Ni, 38th generation practitioners and Qi Gong masters.

Maria's clinical training included positions at Venice Family Clinic, and the Yo San Community Clinic where she also served as an interpreter for the Spanish speaking patients and the non-Spanish speaking interns and practitioners.

Maria strives to help her patients achieve a healthy and balanced life. She believes that inner peace brings outer radiance.
